How we contact Parents:

We will use your mobile number to text you information about school closures etc but will send ALL other information to you via e-mail. PLEASE NOTE IT IS IMPORTANT TO NOTIFY THE SCHOOL OFFICE IMMEDIATELY SHOULD ANY OF YOUR CONTACT DETAILS CHANGE.

The Home/School Agreement and Pupil Guidelines for Computers and safe use of the  Internet outline how you and the school can work together in order that your child can achieve as much as possible.  We request that you read these carefully and if you have any questions contact the school office.

Under the curriculum tab you will find details of your child’s curriculum map and ideas for homework and an outline of what your child will learn under the schoolwork tab.

In the curriculum section, under subjects, there is a useful Reading area to explore with tips and ideas to help your child read at home.

A note about our PRIVACY NOTICE  and DATA PROTECTION ACT 1998

We, Deansbrook Junior School, are the Data Controller for the purposes of the Data Protection Act.  We collect information from you and may receive information about you from your previous school.  We hold this personal data and use it to:

  • support your child’s teaching and learning;
  • monitor and report on their progress;
  • provide appropriate pastoral care, and
  • assess how well your child is doing.

This information includes your child’s contact details, national curriculum assessment results, attendance information, characteristics such as ethnic group, special educational needs and any relevant medical information.

We will not give information about your child to anyone outside the school without your consent unless the law and our rules permit it.

We are required by law to pass some of your information to the Local Authority (LA), and the Department for Education (DFE).
