Children are taught Science knowledge through experimental testing of ideas.

During Science lessons we enable children to find answers to questions about the world around us in a practical way. Lessons are spent in and out of the classroom in order for the children to move from theory to experience. Promoting scientific ways of thinking include; the design of experiments, making hypotheses, careful observations and drawing meaningful conclusions.

The programme of scientific study includes Experimental and Investigative Science; Life and Living Processes; Materials and their Properties and Physical Processes.

Many of the topics are taught in a cross curricular way through ICT, Maths and Literacy as well as links to Design and Technology.
